FDA Suspends Gene Therapy Studies at Penn

NPR's David Baron reports that the Food and Drug Administration has suspended all gene therapy studies at the University of Pennsylvania where an eighteen year old man died during an experiment last year. The study was put on hold because researchers violated regulations designed to protect patient safety.
