Passionate Nomad

Dame Freya Stark, the knighted British explorer, travelled extensively throughout the middle east, wrote 30 books, was thought by some to be a spy, and entertained Princes and Pashahs. Biographer Jane Fletcher Geniesse tells Jacki about this remarkable woman, among the first to be honored by the Royal Geographic Society, and the subject of her new book Passionate Nomad: The Life of Freya Stark.
