Amadou Diallo

Four New York City police officers went on trial in Albany last week for the killing of African immigrant Amadou Diallo. At a rally yesterday in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx where Diallo lived, his parents called for their son to become, as his father said, "a symbol of justice, a symbol of unity for everyone around the world." As Marianne McCune of member station W-N-Y-C reports, unity remains elusive in Diallo's old neighborhood but police and residents are struggling to find some common ground.
