NPR's Melissa Block reports from Albany on the defense testimony of two New York City police officers who are being tried for murder in the shooting death of an unarmed African immigrant in the Bronx last February. Officers Sean Carroll and Edward McMellon both emptied their 16 shot 9-millimeter pistols. Amadou Diallo was struck by 19 of 41 shots fired by the four police officers. The two other officers are scheduled to testify in their own defense today.
