Remedios Varo Retrospective

Alex Van Oss reports on the first U.S. retrospective on the work of Remedios Varo. Varo, who died in 1963, was a Mexican surrealist whose paintings and drawings focused on recurring themes including science, magic, machinery, and the natural world. Over 50 of her works are on display through May 29th at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C.
