Trade Agreement Troubles

NPR's Kathleen Schalch reports that congressional lawmakers are warning the Clinton Administration that approval of a landmark trade agreement between the U.S. and China could be in jeopardy. This week, China threatened Taiwan with military force if the island delayed opening talks on reunification. Lawmakers say the threat is counter-productive to China's attempts to improve its trade relations with the U.S.
