Candidate Withdrawls

Host Bob Edwards talks to NPR National Political Correspondent Elizabeth Arnold about the likelihood that John McCain will announce today that he's withdrawing his candidacy for the Republican Presidential nomination. George W. Bush's victories in the New York, California and Ohio primaries on Tuesday virtually assure Bush the Republican nomination. Today, Bill Bradley also is expected to announce his withdrawal from competition for the Democratic nomination, after Al Gore's comprehensive victory in Tuesday's primaries and caucuses.
