China Trade Relations

NPR's Peter Kenyon reports on President Clinton's efforts to win Congressional passage this year of legislation that would establish permanent normal trade relations with China. The legislation faces opposition from Democrats in Congress, who side with organized labor in opposing the bill. China isn't making the passage any easier by threatening Taiwan with invasion.
