Werner Directs Wagner

German filmmaker Werner Herzog is directing the Baltimore Opera through his vision of Richard Wagner's Tannheuser. The American premiere is tonight at the Lyric Opera House. For Wagner's story of a soul torn between the carnal and the spiritual, Herzog has created a simple, ethereal set of billowing cloth. NPR's Guy Raz reports.
