Pope in Israel

NPR's Sylvia Poggioli reports from Jerusalem that Pope John Paul II has arrived in Israel for what may be the most important papal pilgrimage of his long reign as head of the Catholic Church. But in visiting holy sites in Israel and Palestine, his spiritual mission risks being drawn into the bitter political and territorial disputes that divide Israelis from Palestinians.
