Host Howard Berkes talks to Gloria Flora, who resigned her position as Supervisor of the US Forest Service for Nevada, to protest the intimidation of federal workers by some residents of the state. She says she's worried about the safety of federal employees in parts of Nevada and their ability to do their jobs effectively in the face of hostility. The federal government owns much of the land in Nevada and leases it to private mining and lumber companies and ranchers. Some residents say federal environmental and conservation policies threaten their livelihoods.
