Chess on the Rise

NPR's Wendy Kaufman reports on the rise of chess among young students. Junior memberships in the U.S. Chess Federation have increased 10 fold in the last decade. Chess advocates say the strategic game promotes forward-thinking in kids, and teachers of chess-players say there's a connection between the game and improved scores.
