'Reggae Passover'

In Los Angeles, Alan Eder and Friends have brought together traditional Jewish and African music into their family seders, the ritual meal and service of the Jewish holiday, Passover. In live performances and on recordings, Eder takes traditional Passover melodies and Hebrew texts and arranges them for his reggae band. He says both Passover and reggae music observe liberation and redemption and that the two work well thematically.
