NPR's Jim Zarroli reports the initial public offering of AT&T Wireless went smoothly today, raising more than $10 billion in fresh capital for the business. The shares were not bid up to crazy heights because of the huge size of the IPO. AT&T wireless in the biggest initial public offering in U.S. history, far surpassing that of UPS last November.
