NPR's Michele Kelemen concludes a week-long series on Russia today, with a report on a Russian citizens movement that takes government officials to court for violating environmental laws. It's a sign that Russians are beginning to turn to the courts to redress their grievances. Case in point is a lawsuit brought by residents of a Moscow suburb, who are trying to shut down a landfill, where hazardous materials and large amounts of garbage are dumped. The citizens receive legal representation from the group, Ecojuris.
