New Dietary Guidelines

NPR's Rebecca Perl reports that the government is expected to release new Dietary Guidelines by the end of the month. The guidelines are updated every five years and are based on the latest scientific information. But some critics are concerned that many of the studies that influence the guidelines are funded by the food industry, which is raising questions about the accuracy of the research.
