Disputes Cause Resignations

NPR's Linda Gradstein reports ministers from the ultra-Orthodox Shas Party have resigned from the coalition government of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. The resignations take effect, however, only 48 hours after they were tendered. The withdrawal stems from a dispute over funding for Shas' religious schools.
