A Most Unique Museum
Listen
Seattle has a new museum that's unlike any museum in the country. Marcie Sillman of member station KUOW reports on the Experience Music Project conceived by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry. EMP has more than 80-thousand artifacts... including handwritten lyrics by Jimi Hendrix and Bo Diddley's guitar... all collected by Allen. But EMP is more than glassed-in work of art: it's a place where visitors can use hand-held computers to access information, music, and rock 'n' roll interviews.
