The 440 Alliance gets their cello rock on.

The 440 Alliance hails from Arlington, TX. They formed in 2004 as a cello quartet but quickly found a new and original sound with the addition of various percussion instruments, turntables, piano, mallet percussion and effect pedals.

The group features Nathan Keefer (a.k.a. Major Scales), Neil Fong Gilfillan (Maestro Fong), Drew Johnson (High Notes), Andrew Walton (Captain Bringdown) and Brandon Vanderford (Lieutenant Branderford).

Although all five members are classically trained, their influences include a broad range of other styles from classic rock to hip-hop to Latin music. The band performs a few classic rock covers but all of the arrangements and original compositions are written by the band.

The group performs a mix of clubs, music festivals, string camps and even the occasional wedding.
