Screenwriter Danny Rubin realizes that his voice lacks "character" so he adopts a heavy Romanian accent which solves the problem. It's not HIS character, but it will do -- even if its fake. Even if if it's very Andre Codrescu. Danny Rubin wrote the movie Groundhog Day.
