RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne. Jodi Head isn't sure how her Sunshine traveled more than 1,000 miles from her Texas home to a street corner in Miami Beach. The Sunshine in question is a dog. A club promoter found the Yorkie mix and took her to a vet, where a microchip traced the dog back to Dallas. Sunshine and her owner were reunited earlier this week appropriately enough in the Sunshine State, where there were many tail wags and dog kisses.
It's MORNING EDITION.
