Robert Siegel talks with NPR's David Welna about today's passage in the Senate of the $1.35 trillion tax cut. The vote came two days later than expected, as Democrats were offering countless amendments that delayed the process. The vote comes as all eyes are on Vermont's Republican Senator James Jeffords and whether he will leave the GOP — and what effect, if any, it will have on the tax bill.
