Electoral Reform

NPR's Pam Fessler reports on continuing problems with the nation's voter registration lists. Thousands of Americans who thought they were registered to vote were turned away from the polls last November. Problems with record keeping have made the process more complicated, along with the 1993 Motor Voter Law, which ended automatic purging of registration lists every few years.
