Ex-Tobacco Farmers

NPR's Adam Hochberg reports on one group's efforts to help North Carolina farmers stay profitable, even as demand for their main crop — tobacco — drops. The Golden Leaf Foundation is funded by the state's share of last year's tobacco settlement; it's got 39 alternative programs — like goat farming — in the works.
