Immigrant Smugglers

NPR's John Burnett has the second in a two-part series on the lucrative business of guiding immigrants into the U.S. from Mexico. With recent INS crackdowns on the border, these smugglers, known as "coyotes," are using increasingly risky practices to keep their businesses running — and the cost is usually to the immigrants.
