Patients Bill of Rights

Legislation that would codify various rights for patients in health maintenance organizations moved close to final passage in the Senate today. The chamber's Democrats and a handful of Republican allies turned back another attempt to exempt employers from lawsuits in health care disputes with employees. President Bush meanwhile endorsed an alternative plan offered by Republican leaders in the House. NPR's Steve Inskeep reports from the Capitol.
