Japanese Elections

NPR's Eric Weiner reports from Japan, where yesterday's parliamentary elections gave Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi a solid mandate to continue reshaping his party. The victory of Koizumi's Liberal Democratic Party, and the lack of challengers, makes it likely he will be elected to a full two-year term in August.
