Cloning Bills

NPR's Julie Rovner reports on two competing bills in the House of Representatives, both of which would ban human cloning. A vote is expected today on the Weldon bill, which would make it a federal crime to clone embryos for either pregnancy or research purposes. The competing Greenwood bill prohibits cloning to create a person but allows cloning embryos for stem cell extraction.
