Immigration Law Enforcement

Host Renee Montagne talks with Jonathan Peterson, a reporter with the Los Angeles Times, about the changing enforcement of immigration laws. In the mid-80s, strict laws were enacted to penalize employers who hired illegal immigrants. Recently, the INS has begun to let up on the enforcement of these regulations, signaling a new era of tolerance for undocumented workers.
