Truth Commissions

Scott talks to Priscilla Hayner, author of Unspeakable Truths: Confronting State Terror and Atrocity. Ms. Hayner writes about the effectiveness of truth commissions, which seek to document the atrocities of past regimes. Such commissions have been established in countries ranging from South Africa and Rwanda to Argentina and El Salvador.
