War On Drugs

NPR's Vicky O'Hara reports on a U.S. plan to combat the drug trade in Colombia and six neighboring countries. Called the Andean Regional Initiative, it is an extension of a policy begun under the Clinton administration that provided military aid to fight drug trafficking.
