The airline industry is warning Congress that without direct aid from the government, many airlines would be forced into bankruptcy in the coming weeks. Officials from some of the largest domestic airlines say ticket sales have plummeted, and last week's ban on air travel severely depleted their cash reserves. NPR's Peter Overby takes a look at how some lawmakers are responding to the crisis.
