Army Reservists

Scott Simon talks with members of three Army Reserve companies at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. Roughly 16,000 military reservists are now on active duty. The reservists Scott talks with have not yet been called. They are waiting, along with the rest of the country, to see how U.S. military plans will unfold. The soldiers are from the 299th Engineer Company and the 464th Heavy Transportation Company out of Fort Belvoir and the 311th Theater Signal Command out of Fort Meade in Maryland.
