Afghan King

The former monarch of Afghanistan, Mohammad Zaher Shah, received a pledge of support from a delegation of U.S. congressmen today. The hope is that the 86-year-old ex-king and other anti-Taliban groups can form a transitional government until an elected leadership can replace the Taliban.
