NPR's Debbie Elliott reports on the education debate in the Florida legislature. The Republican-controlled legislature is currently meeting in a special session to deal with a projected $1.3 billion budget deficit. The House Appropriations Committee has approved more than five percent in cuts to public school funding. That could mean teacher layoffs and larger class sizes.
