Democrats and Hispanics

NPR's Mara Liasson reports on concern within the Democratic Party about losing the Hispanic vote. The loss of New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Mark Green to Republican Michael Bloomberg in Tuesday's election was a stinging defeat. Analysts say the defection of large numbers of Latino voters, who usually vote the Democratic ticket, was a big factor in Green's loss. They were angry about Green's treatment of his Latino opponent in the Democratic primary.
