NPR's Emily Harris reports from New York City on how the family and friends of 35-year-old Maria Rodriguez are reacting to her death in Monday's plane crash of American Airlines flight 587. Maria's brother, Miguel Rosario, is trying to decide what to do about the two children and the beauty salon his sister left behind. Maria and Miguel are from the Dominican Republic, and their mother still lives there.
