NPR's Alex Chadwick concludes his National Geographic Radio Expedition with marine biologist Sylvia Earle, as she explores and discovers unfamiliar regions and life-forms in the ocean. Earle and other marine biologists operate small submarines that can stay hundreds of feet undersea for hours at a time. They're more responsive than remotely operated vehicles and can go much deeper and stay longer than divers equipped with scuba gear. (7:40
