NPR's Scott Horsley reports o the latest developments in the U-S led military campaign in Afghanistan. As anti-Taliban forces close in on the southern city of Kandahar, US Marines are wary of using helicopter gunships because Taliban forces are said to have shoulder-fired rocket launchers. Some Taliban and al-Qaeda fighters who surrendered at Kunduz, apparently were freed by the Northern Alliance and are now fighting again in the north.
