NPR's Lawrence Sheets reports from Tashkent, Uzbekistan on a visit made there today by Secretary of State Colin Powell. The secretary visited Uzbek President Islam Karimov to discuss a bridge that connects Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. That bridge has been closed since 1996. It will reopen tomorrow, allowing relief supplies to reach northern Afghanistan.
