NPR's Elaine Korry reports that the largest holder of Hewlett-Packard stock opposes a merger between Hewlett-Packard and Compaq Computer. The Packard family controls just over 10 percent of H.P. stock. Their opposition to the deal will likely influence the votes of other shareholders.
