After more than 10 years, WPIX-TV in New York City is bringing back its Christmas Day broadcast of a Yule log — two hours straight of a burning log flickering on the television for those who don't have a fireplace. It's a new, improved digital version this year. And the NPR Players imagine the next format for the video Yule log might be a DVD — perhaps even a limited edition director's cut.
