Cancer Support Groups
Linda Wertheimer talks with Dr. David Spiegel, professor of psychiatry and behavioral studies at Stanford University School of Medicine, about the results of a study which says support groups for people with third and fourth stage breast cancer do not extend life, but do improve quality of life. Spiegel wrote an editorial about the study which appears in The New Journal of Medicine.
