NPR's Emily Harris reports on a Senate hearing yesterday that tried to assess how much damage the U.S.-led military campaign in Afghanistan has done to al Qaeda. Experts from the FBI testified that al Qaeda may have hundreds of members and probably has trained thousands of people. Eliminating Osama bin Laden and some of his lieutenants wouldn't necessarily destroy the group.
