From Tampa, NPR's Greg Allen reports on how the University of South Florida is trying to dismiss a professor because of his controversial appearance on a television talk show. Sami al-Arian is a Palestinian activist who teaches computer engineering. He says academic freedom applies to remarks he made on Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor. The university argues that al-Arian's TV appearance has disrupted the campus and jeopardized safety.
