NPR's Steve Inskeep reports from Kandahar, Afghanistan, where regional government officials are worried about Iran's interference in Afghan affairs. According to the region's governor, an Iranian general toured southern Afghanistan and offered humanitarian aid. The offer was refused, to avoid Iranian influence that might weaken Afghanistan's interim government.
