In his State of the Union message, President Bush called on Americans to donate two years' worth of time to volunteering. Mr. Bush said he wants to double the number of Peace Corps volunteers in five years, and to increase AmeriCorps and Senior Corps. Since Sept. 11, more people have reached out to volunteer.
