NPR's Eric Westervelt reports from New Orleans on the AFL-CIO's two-day meeting. Yesterday, AFL-CIO leaders voted to increase political contributions of union members to pursue issues such as job training, increasing the minimum wage, expanding health care and boosting worker safety.
