Erin McKeown Lets Out The 'Lions'

Erin McKeown has quietly put together an impressive musical resume over the past 10 years. For McKeown, it's been a career filled with great creativity and artistic diversity. It all started with her 1999 debut, Monday Morning Cold, and has continued to the present with a wonderful new collection called Hundreds of Lions.

Hundreds of Lions is McKeown's seventh solo album — not counting her involvement in the band Voices on the Verge — and it succeeds in her charming, musically adventurous spirit. It's her first album of all-new, original studio songs in four years.

McKeown has visited WFUV numerous times over the years, but we still had a lot to catch up on in this session.
