NPR's Tom Gjelten reports on Bush administration plans to have American Green Berets train a new Afghan army that could provide security in the country and patrol Afghanistan's borders. U.S. Army troops would provide basic training to individuals, then move on to train Afghan soldiers at the squad, platoon, company and battalion levels.
